Copy contacts from device or SIM

If you want to copy your contacts from the phone or SIM you will note that you can only do this with the iCloud. Unlike the Alcatel Pixi 4 you will need to click on Settings and then click on Mail, Contacts and Calendars. Then click on Import SIM Contacts and the sync the phone with the iCloud. Enable or disable mobile data

You can enable and disable the mobile data on your phone. Click on Settings and then click on the Mobile data option. From there you can now enable or disable the mobile data on your mobile phone. If you are going abroad then ensure that you also disable your mail and messenger as these also use mobile data.

Set date and time

The Apple iPhone 4s manual shows that to set the date and time you will need to click on Settings and then click on General. Click on Date & Time and you will then adjust the date and time with the scroll feature. If there is no scroll then see if you have disabled “set automatically”. See if this is On and proceed to turn it Off.

Block messages from individual numbers

This is a bit different to the Apple iPhone 4 settings. In order to block messages you will need to click on Messages. Then click on the contact you wish to block. Now click on Details and then click on the Info icon. Now click on Block this Caller and then click on the Block Contact. This is ow you block a user.

Change the notification sound for SMS text messages

If you want to change the sound notification for the SMS messages then click on Settings and then click on Sounds. Next you click on Text Tone and then click on the Sound you wish to use. Click on that Sound button and and then you click on return. The sound notification has now been changed.

Change your email frequency checking.

So you want to change how many times your email account is checked or updated. You will need to click on Settings and then again on Mail, Contacts& Calendars. Now click on Fetch New Data and then you can select the frequency of checking your email.

Check MMS multimedia message settings

Next you will click on Mobile Data Options and then click on Mobile Data Network. You can then check your MMS settings or add the MMS settings as explained in the Apple iPhone 4s manual.

Check SMS text message settings

You can check the SMS settings on the phone. Click on Settings and then click on Messages. Note that the SMSC number cannot be changed as it is built into the SIM itself.

How to check your phone number for iMessage

Click on Settings and then click on Messages. You will need to ensure that the iMessage is enabled. Now press on Send & Receive. It will now show your telephone number linked to it. If it is not correct then it will need to be reset. To do this you simply need to disable it and then re-enable it and then check again.

Enable or disable iMessage

To enable or disable the iMessage you can click on Settings and then Messages. Click on iMessage and then you can click on enable or disable the iMessage.

How to change the network connection mode

Firstly note that 4G connectivity is only available on the iPhone 5s as well as the 5c or later and not on the Apple iPhone 4s or the Apple iPhone 4. Connect to Wi-Fi

To connect to the WiFi you can click on Settings and then click on WiFi. Click on the network you want to connect to and then enter your password. Now click on the Join key to connect to the network.

How to enable or disable Bluetooth

To enable Bluetooth or disable Bluetooth simply click on Settings and then click on Bluetooth. From there you can enable or disable the Bluetooth on the Apple iPhone 4.

Enable or disable mobile data

If you want to block people then your can do this by clicking on Phone and then Resents. Then click on the Info icon next to the contact and click on Block this Caller. Finally click on Block Contact. That person is now blocked.

How to check your phone number for FaceTime

To check your number for FaceTime you can click on Settings, FaceTime and see what it says under “You can be reached …” it will show you the number. If it is incorrect then you can disable FaceTime and then re-enable it. This will normally fix the issue.

Enable or disable call waiting

You can enable or disable call waiting by licking on Settings then on Phone. Then click on Call waiting and then enable or disable the call waiting feature. There is also a USSD option. These are as follows:

To check call waiting status, type *#43# To enable call waiting, type *43# To disable call waiting, type #43#

Enable or disable Caller ID

If you want to enable or disable Caller ID the click on Settings and the click on Phone. Click on Show my Caller ID and you can turn on or turn off the Caller ID on the Apple iPhone 4s.

Perform a factory reset on Apple iPhone 4s

Make a backup onto iCloud before you do a factory reset on the Apple iPhone 4s. You cannot recover the data once it is gone. Click on Settings and then General and press on Reset. Click on Erase all Content and Settings. Then click on Erase iPhone. Click on it again to confirm. The phone will now restart. The factory default settings are now in place.
