Galaxy J6 – Call Settings
These are the basic settings for the mobile phone. Always check the user manual of the Samsung J6 mobile phone.
Setup speed dial
This is how to make a call by pressing only one number to make a call out of your phone book on your mobile phone. If there are more than 2 digits then press the first number and then the second number and hold on the last number so that it will make the phone call,
- Tap Contacts

- Select a speed dial number
- Add a phone number
Making an international call
To make an international call you will need to first obtain the plus sign + on the phone and this is done as follows:
- Tap and hold 0 until the + sign appears.
Then enter the country code, area code, and phone number, and then tap Phone.
Rejecting a call
If you want to create a rejection message then you will need to add it to the phone and use it to send a quick message when you reject a call. The following instructions will show you how to do this.
- Tap Settings;
- Tap Quick decline messages;
- Enter a message;
- Tap the plus sign with the circle around it.
Blocking phone numbers
If you want to block a person in your phone-book then the following will work else you will need to add the phone number at the end.
- Tap Settings;
- Tap Block numbers;
- Select Contact;
- Tap Enter phone number if not in your phone-book (press plus when done)
- Tap Done.
Note that you will not receive notifications when a call has been blocked however you can look at your call logs as the call will still be logged.
Options during calls (Voice Calls)
During a voice call you can make another call while putting the other person on hold. This may not be available in all countries and normally you will need two SIM cards in your mobile phone.

- Tap Access additional options;
- Add call: Dial a second call. (Option 1)
- Record: Record a telephone conversation. (Option 2)
- Bluetooth: Switch to a Bluetooth headset. (Option 3)
- Mute: Turn off the microphone so nobody can hear you. (Option 4)
(The first call will be put on hold. When you end the second call, the first call will be resumed)
Options during calls (Video Calls)
There are a few options when speaking to someone during a video call. These are some of the most useful option available on the Samsung J6 mobile phone.
- Tap ;
- Tap Access additional options;
- Camera: Turn off the camera so they cant see you;
- Switch: Switch between rear and front camera;
- Mute: Turn off the microphone;
- Speaker: Activate or deactivate the speakerphone.
These are the features built into the phone. These do not work in every country as it is illegal in certain countries to record people without notifying them or getting their permission.
Adding a phone number to Contact
You can add a phone number to your mobile phone and there are different ways to do this. These options have been listed below.
From the keypad
- Tap Phone app;

- Tap Create contact / Update contact.
From the calls list
- Tap Phone app;
- Tap Recent;
- Tap Callers image;
- Tap Details;
- Tap Create contact / Update contact.
Importing contacts
- Tap Contacts app ;
- Tap Manage contacts;
- Tap Import/Export contacts;
- Tap IMPORT.
Select the location being a VCF file or contact files and select and import the files.
Sharing contacts

- Select the source for the share
