This is how to check your balance on the network for both prepaid as well as postpaid. You can also call the customer care on 141 or 1717 or 0712755777. If you want to use a USSD to check your 
phone number then you can also dial with the USSD code #132# . You can also see other codes on this website for their network in Sri Lanka. You will note that the codes are different as those with a postpaid account has a balance check with a different number.
The prepaid customers can use DB or #7678 or use the USSD code of #170# for the balance. Note that this is mobile data balance check on the network. There are other USSD codes on this website so check to see if you are in need of any of them. These are still valid this year.
Note that there is a tourist SIM which if you are using one while in Sri Lanka you will be able to check your balance as well using the same universal USSD code for checking your balance.
