This is to manually configure Movistar APN settings on your Android device for internet as well as for MMS access in Argentina, follow these steps as I have added it below. I also wrote the article on the Claro APN settings as well.

Movistar APN settings
Movistar INTERNET
1. Go to Settings ➔ Connections ➔ Mobile networks ➔ Access Point Names on your Android.
2. Press Add on the top right corner.
3. If your Android has already set values for Movistar INTERNET in any fields, leave them. Change the other fields as follows as you can see below.
– Name: Movistar INTERNET
– APN: wap.gprs.unifon.com.ar
– Username: wap
– Password: wap
– MCC: 722
– MNC 07
– Authentication type: PAP
– APN type: default,ia,supl
– Likewise the APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
– APN roaming protocol: IPv4
4. Leave the Proxy, Port as well as Server and MMSC. Together with the Multimedia message proxy, Multimedia message port as well as the Bearer fields unspecified.
5. Restart your Android to apply the new Movistar INTERNET APN settings.

Movistar AR IMS
1. Go to Settings ➔ Connections ➔ Mobile networks ➔ Access Point Names on your Android.
2. Press Add on the top right corner.
3. If your Android has already set values for Movistar AR IMS in any fields, leave them. Change the other fields as follows:
– Name: Movistar AR IMS
– APN: ims
– MCC: 722
– MNC: 07
– APN type: ims
– Likewise see also the APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
– APN roaming protocol: IPv4
4. Leave the Proxy as well as Port and Username with Password and Server blank. Also the MMSC, Multimedia message proxy, Multimedia message port, and Bearer fields unspecified.
5. Restart your Android to apply the new Movistar AR IMS APN settings.
Movistar MMS
1. Go to Settings** ➔ **Connections** ➔ **Mobile networks** ➔ **Access Point Names** on your Android.
2. Press Add** on the top right corner.
3. If your Android has already set values for Movistar MMS in any fields, leave them. Change the other fields as follows:
– Name: Movistar MMS
– APN: mms.gprs.unifon.com.ar
– Username: mms
– Password: mms
– MMSC: http://mms.movistar.com.ar
– Multimedia message proxy: 200.68.32.239
– Multimedia message port: 8080
– MCC: 722
– MNC: 07
– Authentication type: PAP
– APN type: mms
– Likewise see also the APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
– APN roaming protocol: IPv4
4. Leave the Proxy, Port, Server, and Bearer fields unspecified.
5. Restart your Android to apply the new Movistar MMS APN settings.
