The APQ8055 is part of the Snapdragon family, which is designed for a type of processor called the Scorpion, which can run up to 1.4GHz. You’ll mostly find this in older mobile phones. The modem comes in three types: MSM8255, which is for UMTS and works in single mode; MSM8655, which is for CDMA and works in multiple modes; and APQ8055, which doesn’t have a WWAN Modem. The APQ8055 supports a wide range of frequencies, including 700 MHz, 800MHz(BCO/BC10 &JCDMA), 1700MHz(KPCS), 1900MHz(PCS+Block G), 1700MHz/2100MHz (AWS), 2100MHz (IMT), Quad-GSM (850, 900, 1800, 1900), and UMTS (900, 2100).
